TRANSITION & VOCATIONAL SERVICES

AFTER HALLEN

Helping Students Prepare for What Comes Next

At The Hallen School, transition planning is an important part of helping students build a strong future. As students move closer to graduation, our Transition Coordinator works with students, counselors, parents, teachers, and related service providers to help each student begin thinking about life after high school. Through individualized guidance and meaningful exposure to postsecondary options, students are encouraged to explore their interests, identify their strengths, and prepare to make informed decisions about their next steps. This reflects Hallen’s broader commitment to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while preparing for college, careers, and life.

INDIVIDUALIZED APPROACH

A PERSONALIZED TRANSITION PLAN FOR EVERY STUDENT

No two students have the same goals, interests, or path after graduation. That is why Hallen’s transition process is designed to support each student as an individual.

Our Transition and Vocational Services Team helps students think about what they enjoy, what they do well, and what kinds of opportunities may be a good fit for them after leaving Hallen.

Throughout the school year, students are introduced to a variety of educational, vocational, and community-based options that help them better understand what is available and what is possible.

1. Discover Interests

Students explore what they enjoy and what excites them about the future.

2. Identify Strengths

Counselors and staff help students recognize their abilities and talents.

3. Explore Options

Students are introduced to educational, vocational, and community-based opportunities.

4. Plan & Prepare

Together with families and staff, students build a clear path forward.
