We understand that finding the right school can feel overwhelming, but at The Hallen School, our priority is to provide clarity, support, and a streamlined process to make your experience as smooth as possible.
OUR REFERRAL PROCCESS
Students are typically referred to The Hallen School by their home district’s Committee on Special Education (CSE) after being approved for out-of-district placement. These referrals are often made when it becomes clear that a student would benefit from a more specialized educational setting than the district can provide.
In some cases, families and students work with educational and legal advocates to secure a non-public school (NPS) recommendation, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need to thrive.
If you’re unsure how to navigate the placement process, our team is happy to provide guidance. You can also refer to our NPS Tip Sheet for helpful information.
